Can you go with 17” wheels & fit those brakes? My ‘67 is running 17x8” in the front & 17x9” in the rears with no rubbing using the Year One Rally 2’s.

A 1968 400 YC engine with a little over 40k original miles. I’m replacing the cam, lifters, valve springs, timing chain & oil pump. The stock 15 heads have pressed in studs so probably an 068 cam.

Actually, I forgot to mention that the heads for sale are small valve heads that were converted to screw in studs, if they were larger valve heads I’d probably already own them ;)

Everything that I have read & heard points to lifters not cam cores. Plus it’s pretty much one or two suppliers for cam cores vs all the different suppliers for lifters.

Stick with what you have, the general consensus is that the lifters made in the past are better than what we are seeing today plus the HJ’s are a quality USA product regardless.
