The Olds 350 was a superior motor; short stroke, large bore that had more power and unless cammed like the W31 got better mileage too.

I ran 1971 Olds 442 FE2 springs on my 71; a bit firmer.

Olds was way ahead of the others as far as "A" body suspension.

The original owner may have been very wise depending on what 1st gear the 3 speed had and rear gears in back. Some of the 3 speeds had tall gearing, 3:1; coupled with say 3.08's and the torquey...

Funny how the option sheet does not say boo about what transmission it has - I gather that if nothing is mentioned it defaults to manual 3 speed?
