I had a car making that EXACT same noise, after going nuts looking for it--- I found it. It was the clutch in the clutch fan! The video doesn't show if you have a clutch fan or not, but I bet you...

here's where I have mine. what you can do is mount your mounts to the engine block, bolt engine to trans, and see where it rests.

dot to dot is how it is installed but put #1 as...
dot to dot is how it is installed but put #1 as #6 on your distributor and it will work. or, after setting it up dot to dot, rotate the crank 360 degrees then youre at #1 for the distributor, i.e....

I spoke with Jeff and got some info--Q16 gets 2 qualifying runs which are all posted, any dial-in is fine during eliminations, costs $25 plus t&t, q16 runs first so if you lose you can pay another...

power adder
took over a year to get this engine in the car, frame mods and rack and pinion install. Just drove it for the first time to a carshow 10 miles away, made it just fine. 541 engine plus foggers...
