What I recall.

Looking at the car, one side will clear, but the other side will be a struggle, but with one side clear, it will come off. Need to jiggle it, but will come off. Good luck.

What you can do.

On the a/c, it would be best to loosen the compressor, but you don't have to disconnect it. I would try to hang it with a thick wire from the r/h side hood hinge. Just to swing it out of the way so...
