I wanted to point out the devil is in the details with these kind of claims. But I did a poor job of it by not getting my details correct.

Wow, we had that exact same car when I was a kid. It replaced a 65 4 door Galaxy. Mom hated the Torino and it got traded the next year for a 2 door Maverick which she liked enough to drive till 1981.

Safety warning welding and brake cleaner. Never mix them!

Here is a link describing the serious health dangers involved when using brake clean on or near areas to be welded. This happened to a guy just like us.
