Boss,...What does EUN Stand for? I know all(?) 400 blocks are set -up for the 4 bolt mains, but that only the RA IV's(?) had them. Is that info STILL TRUE? I had an old school Pont. Dealer...

Ok, I WAS ALL OVER THE MAP with tHIS one. The VINS on firewall, on engine block, and dash all match. Tghe eng. block code was XN for a RA IV Automatic.(Trans/ Am). My car is a 1970 formula 400,...

Ex-72,...THNX for more clarity! I thought Pont. always stamped-cast the SR somewhere on block. I haven't heard about the hand stamping: Iguess it might look the same depth, same VIN...

Yeah, mine is different. The engine in mine is a Matching #s piece: I've tried , even going as far as buying a "snake-camera", to verify the trans! No VINS where they are supposed to be???!
