You are not stuck with light weights and heavy weights. Try mixing them for a little faster curve. I like to see full advance between 3,000 and 3,400.

Sounds like you have a dial back light so...

I think the important thing is the engine builder ran the engine on the dyno - and with that balancer installed on the engine and the timing cover that was installed, the engine made maximum power...
