before spending any money have you considered trying to adjust the box? With the engine off, loosen the lock nut on the top of the box , turn the adjusting screw just a little back and forth to break...

Does anybody have a RPO code for the bench seats? The reason I am asking is because I was under the impression that unless you ordered the optional console, RPO 472, the bench seat was the default.

You didnt replace any rotating/moving parts so normal oil. Any auto parts store should carry transmission gear oil with a viscosity of 75W90 such as Valvoline...

I believe it is partially the gear ratios of the automatic transmission. If at 5k in 1st gear you are doing 40 mph, the transmission when shifting to 2nd has to match the engine rpm to the vehicle...

Why on a Pontiac engine would the vacuum advance be mounted on the passenger side, that's typically where it is found on a Chevy, which rotates clockwise, the distributor rotates in the opposite...
