There is a "Crab" which spans two adjacent cylinders to hold them down to the fabricated block. Torque on the crab bolt is 1600 ft-lbs as i recall. Who has the torque wrench?

The bigger they are, the slower they turn. A typical EMD locomotive engine , 645 cu.in per cylinder, 12 to 20 cylinders has a top speed of 900 RPM..a so-called medium speed diesel.

Motorcycles are the worst. There are state laws against loud exhaust, but i doubt if they are enforced.

I really hate the raspy exhaust note of late model Mustangs.

Plastic parts always break. I also always reinforce broken plastic with metal. Most recently the door handles on my 2013 Tahoe....both handles on the passenger side have broken...PITA taking the door...
