then it should be alot stronger then the stock 8.2 firebird axel, right?

Does anyone know what kind of axel a 5 litre mustang from '88 with a five speed manual gearbox has in it?
And is the axel the same with as a '69 firebird?

How much slower will it get at the strip?
Every thing else the same the rear wheels should see about 30 to 40 hp more a the wheels, right?

The engine is a 461 stroker, cleaned up 87cc E-heads, torker but willing to change.
It is backed by a 400 with 2500 stall.
Its in a 3550lbs...

On what side of the transmission is it located?

And putting the battery in the trunk.
