The very first thing I do with new cranks...

The very first thing I do with new cranks is.....check runout, mic journals, mic snout, mic seal surface diameter, measure thrust width. Then I check all the oil holes, balance, and final polish

Unless they ground that cam on a small base circle, even a larger lobe would not come any higher out of the bore than that. The peak of the lobe cannot come any higher than the journal diameter...

64-67 and 68-72 are not the same width. The 68-72 diff is 1 1/2" wider than the early rear. At least the spring perches are the same in 67 as the 66 down has a bolt on coil springs.
