Is it accurate up to 20 or does it show 20 even though you are doing 40? I would also inspect the plastic cable drive gear in the tranny--they are cheap and easy to inspect/replace if needed.

I have installed ACC carpets in a 63 GP and a 71 GTO--both black---no issues--contours/fit was very good for both. Plan on doing my 67 GP this Winter.
