Recent post about synchros brought back this Pontiac moment!

As a kid, I had a non-synchro first in the 3 speed in my '65 GTO clone. I used to call it my "ticket-beater". I once flew by a cop just as I power shifted 2nd and saw him (too late) on a sode street...
