I use a small pair of vise grips that are adjusted just tight enough to pinch the line closed. You're probably getting gas coming back down from the carb. Pinch both off.

67 gto grille and surround will fit right? I really don't want to go down the road of cloning this car. Is there any way to do a decent repair? the old ones have a crack but no peice is missing.

Thanks for the help. I just brought this car home saturday and haven't even begun to take it apart. I guess I'll keep my eyes open for 67 lemans grilles.

ok I see the difference you're talking about. Let me be alittle more specific. I have a 67 lemans project that has a cracked grille surround. I found a set of 66 complete surround and grille on ebay....
