I've found it easier to sell and for more $$ while still in the vehicle running. That's how I would prefer to purchase also. As previously stated in this thread, once its out of the car its a core.

When I do a parasitic draw test I use the amp setting on the meter. I believe anything over .050 amps needs to be repaired. Most electronics, radio memory etc will typically draw .035 amps max. Hth.

Are there any coolant leaks? IIRC those engines has plastic intake gaskets that would deteriorate and crack. They usually leaked externally,the odd time internally....
