Seems like I had a Trans rebuilt a few years ago, the guy put a inline filter with a magnet in the cooler line. he said pull it out the next time I changed the engine oil....

Get the flywheel resurfaced. 10.5" LUK is fine. Disassemble , Clean and lube the shifter, Replace the shifter rod bushings, check condition of universal joints and the transmission mount.

I think the "V" in the pulley gets "polished" and slips, no matter how tight the belt is. I would pull them off and bead blast the V to roughen them up somewhat.

Has anyone ever checked the cam timing after 1K, 5K or 10K? I wonder if it changed much? Depends on the quality of the chain. My theory is to advance it 2 degrees, to allow for stretch and break in....

Yes, ATF doesn't have much detergent. Trans stay clean, because the oil stays clean, no combustion by products. That's why I think MMO is the way to go.
