I don’t care if you had tested a NA 588 cid motor, your not making 590 crankshaft hp at less then 3000 rpm, it’s pure bs or a mistake!

It was only used in 58 thru 62 motors and is a tad hotter then the 067 cam.
The 886 has 60 degrees of overlap while the 067 has 54.

I have had 4 of the ones drilled and tapped so just a case of the chance I guess!
Anyway if your not looking to run 4 bolt caps the non drilled and tapped blocks are stronger anyway.

With studs or bolts this is the way I have always added a bead of sealant during assembly and have never had a leak..
All the oil pan bolt holes are blind.
