This has been said thousands of times I'm sure. But, NEVER EVER EVER waste your time trying to get aftermarket HEI advance weights and cams to work! Tried many years ago. Moroso, Mr. Gasket, etc....

The factory nut is too big for the aftermarket antenna mast threads. I have the aftermarket nut fit inside the factory repop one.

Agreed. Maybe we can focus on helping him verify timing, carb, PCV, possible vacuum leak, exposed idle transfer slot, etc. that may be screwing his idle up. I really think this engine needs some help.
