Not just bearing clearances. You have very tight piston to wall, very small/ light tension rings, cam phasers with small passages, multi displacement, stop/start, ohc with cams at highest point, etc.

I have run straight 30w, 10w30, 10w40, 15w40, and 20w50 in my engines in the past. Running 20w50 now. No problems with any. I do live in a warm climate though.;)

The air cleaner in your case. Filtered air needs to enter the crankcase to replace the air being sucked out by the throttled 3/8 vac line to the intake.

I`m in the 670 camp. With a good piston head design. Keep it 3.75 stroke with that block. Get it all balanced. Then, pick a cam for what you wind up with.

I forget the bushings and springs but it is all in at 3000 with 14 down south. 246 cam with t2 manifold. 463 cubes. It rips.
