Column 71 should have the rear end code. But whatever it is on BHC I don't know. 'A' ? 'O' ? '4' ? None...

The HO was probably not much more than the 455, so why not go for the extra HP?
(The 455 & 455 HO were extra cost options on the GTO)

Possibly lifters didn't pump up enough at first and they were loose enough to fall 'away'...
