Get yourself a K&N X-Stream airflow air cleaner...

Get yourself a K&N X-Stream airflow air cleaner lid. This should help out. Nobody will know it's on there with the shaker mounted.

unruhjonny just gave you the best advice on your situation. Mostly drive and enjoy the car. My GTO is not worth a resto so I'm just going to drive and enjoy it as is.

Not my Pontiac but I saved the transaxle and the engine went to a friend. The car was in a landslide so pretty hammered and going to scrap. Doors, fenders, seats and a few other items were saved.
