Having run 7 different cams in lower compression 400s I can say that Half-inch Stud numbers are right on the money but stay away from tight LSAs with the larger cams for sure. The RA4 cam with Rhodes...

I understand not wanting to pull a good running motor just to zero deck the block. Makes sense I suppose. The gain in performance is not from the .4 increase in compression its more from the increase...
