Question, if the starter needs a shim (or two) would it totally prevent spark?
The starter goes but it seems sluggish…it is not normal yet. Would the fact that it is not spinning...

is it just easier (manufacturing wise) to raise the carb pad as opposed to lengthening the runners...or, is there a performance value in the raised pad vice lengthened...

Rebuilt my 69 with Eibach lowering springs and...

Rebuilt my 69 with Eibach lowering springs and PST poly bushings, KYB shocks front and rear, and added anti-sway bar to the rear. Handles quite well.

don't think the 3.55 will work with goatroper's carrier. BOP had three different carriers in the 8.2 I believe, the following geer ratios for each...2.76 & down / 2.94 to 3.23 / 3.31 & up.
