Just checked my car, the left bracket is for the smog pump mounting, attaches to 2 of the water pump bolts. The right bracket is what OPH said, mounts to the plenum.

OPH- Did you mean you removed the EGR itself or just the shield? Not sure what removing the shield would do...

I did some mods like that on my 81 301t too, I removed the EGR and used a block off...

For the body bushings? Those dont use grease because they dont move... sorry for the confusion, I meant for the control arm bushings with metal sleeves, those use a super tacky silicone type grease...

Are you sure the stereo (2 rear speakers) started in 79? Ive owned 78 TAs that had what looked like factory stereo speakers in the rear and a GM stereo cassette radio... unless that was dealer added.

A GM service manual might have sizes... but its easiest to just match up what you have on there now, they are common sizes like 5/8 or 3/4. You will have to cut to the length you want if you want to...

The factory 20lb/ft only applies if everything is stock... if the heads or block have been milled during rebuild then its best to do the zero lash plus whatever the lifter manufacturer calls for...
