My guess on survival rate would be in the 20-30% range for T/As, too. A lot lower for Formulas, and a whole lot lower for base Birds and Esprits.

Springs do not lose "rate" with time. They only lose load capability. So if your car is riding really low, that might be a problem. But if the ride height is near stock, don't waste your time...

Is it called out on the invoice? Or was it an accessory installed at the dealer?
I'm not sure I've ever seen one with a factory installed hood lamp.
