Are you running vacuum advance, because not running at least 8 degrees of vacuum advance and a motor running hot go hand in hand!

Just get a set of new intake and exh valves in the stock...

There’s no down side to running 14 or even 16 as long as the motor cranks over well when heat soaked and you can get the motor to idle as low as you need.

The wiring on the fan side of the relay will need to be 10 ga to be able to feed that level of start up current to the fan(s), is that the gauge wire you have on that run from the relay to the fan?

Since there’s now been a good amount of grit flowing around in the motor once your tare it down inspect the piston skirts for imbedded grit and of course scratches.
Also pull the oil galley plugs...

Would also try and do a leak down test to see if any valves are not sealing well.
