I calculated the pressure (above atmospheric) going 134 mph and it was about 1.2-1.5 psi if I remember correctly.

If your P/W clearance was more than recommended and your ring gaps were correct it's unlikely it would smoke. I have run P/W clearance of 0.009" with TRW forged pistons and it didn't smoke.

My '68 FB with a 350 2 bbl and manual 3 speed with 3.23 gears is very peppy. It actually surprised me. It's not as peppy as my '72 LeMans vert with 455 4 bbl and 3.55 gears though.

If you want to go dual disc, I would go with the Ram Concept 10.5 over the McCleod dual disc since one of the discs had a Marcel carrier and a sprung hub, where the McCleod only has a Marcel carrier...
