Not to hijack this thread, but this is a good reminder for me to change the balancer on my Catalina when I do the rear main this winter . it’s 51 years old!! Been lucky too long.

They offer a BOP for 50.00 and SCE for 115.00 .

Which main seal?

Going to yank the motor out of the Catalina this winter, rear main and pan leak. Butler has a few different Viton seals , 60$- 120$ what’s the difference? 3.25 stock 421 crank. Which would you use?

If building a roots blower motor from scratch, would you start with 72 or 87 ccs, or does it matter? Would be a pump gas 535, looking to build 900+ hp.
