True with most squirrel cage induction motors. Not true with permanent Magnet motors, like Fans and Starters. check your starter amp draw at 13v compared to 11.

Wondering what ICL I should put my SPC-8 at? 455ho, 10.3 compression .040 over, 4.25 stroke. #64 heads. 3.08 rears with 3200 stall. Supposed to be a 2500 tight converter. But flashes to 3200-3400....
