Harmonic balancer help

I'm new to the Pontiac game so bear with me please. I have a 67 400 being built with help from Butler. My question is if I use a later 4 bolt balancer and the Ram Air Restorations 3 groove pulley, I'm installing Vintage Air a/c as well, which timing cover would I need? Is there an 8 bolt that would work or do I need to convert to 11 bolt? I was told that pulley won't work on my 67 because it hits the timing pointer.
Thanks

The '68 timing cover is the first to go with the "4 bolt" balancer, and the last to use an 8 bolt water pump.

Ram Air Restorations does have the correct 6-bolt pulleys for the '67, so it is your choice on which way you go. If you continue to use your current accessory brackets you will have to space everything out to match up with the later 4-bolt balancer and pulleys.

The 8-bolt replacement timing cover that Butler sells has the molded pointer high enough to clear the larger balancer, but the markings are off when used with the original 6-bolt hub. Easy enough to fill in the cut on the hub and make a new one, but it's another step that has to be done. If you can use the original early timing cover then I'd opt for the early pulleys.
