1969 gto project

1969 Pontiac gto

VIN: 242
fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: other
type: other

The car being offered is a 242 vin gto with all PHS paperwork to verify colors, engine, and all options. I'm in the middle of a frame off restoration and considering selling. I know that I'll have no time to work on the car in June so I'm offering it for sale until July (when I'll re-assess) I bought the car in 2013 and started tear down in 2014. Every nut and bolt has been removed and the repairs that were made were completed on a rotisserie. The passenger compartment floor was removed and replaced, both outer cowl sections were removed and replaced, the three piece trunk floor and all outer structure was removed and replaced, the quarter panels were repaired using full quarter skins, the firewall was smoothed in the heater box area. After all metal was replaced the car was media blasted and primed with epoxy. The entire bottom of the car and the engine compartment cowl was painted palladium silver. While separated the frame (with matching vin to body) was sand blasted and painted with por15. The rear end and suspension is a Currie Ford 9" with 3.70 gears, edelbrock adjustable upper and lower control arms with new coil springs and shocks. The brakes on all 4 corners are aerospace components disc brakes. The front suspension is fat man fabrication upper and lower arms with new moroso trick springs. I had a fuel cell installed originally and ran a 1/2" aluminum line. You can see in the pics that I patched the hole using another center trunk section as the patch and I welded the gas tank strap attachments into place. The doors that are lightly mounted on the car now are 1968 gto doors. I also have the 2 original doors and an extra 1969 door shell that's in great shape. The fenders that are lightly mounted are reproduction fenders that seem to line up well. I also have the original fenders and inner fender wells. The deck lid is a reproduction that was purchased through performance years and is of excellent quality. I have 2 rear bumpers, the original endura front bumper and a fiberglass front bumper. The front valance is a new repro unit from Ames and I believe I still have the original but it's pretty rough. The actual dash board for the car is there but very badly cracked. I have an aftermarket dash cap that fits great and is hardly noticeable when installed. I'm sure there's more that I'm missing but I'll be glad to answer any questions. Please, phone calls only and before 9p.
I do not have a transmission or engine for the car.
Thanks for your interest, Bob
