I have a YE 455 288/296 cam, ported heads 850 double pumper. headers, aprox. 500hp. I can not stop the engine from pushing oil out everywhere, especially the rear of the oil pan. Engine has been properly sealed. I have a direct hose from rear of carb to PVC in valley pan. left valve cover is reg. breather, other side is going to carb via hose. What have i done wrong or what can i do to keep from leaking oil everywhere? Any help would be nice.

mike, one thing that you might try is to get a pcv valve for a 454 chevy hipo. the weights in the valves are different according to application. you may not have enough engine vaccum to properly operate the one you have.
have you ran a compression test yet?if so what are the readings?
how many miles are on the engine?
if the pcv valve doesn't fix the problem disable the pcv system and run the engine with the oil fill cap off. if you have an excessive amount of blowby than the rings probably aren't sealed for one reason or another.[ie broken , not enough miles/hrs,hole in piston ect] some blowby is normal [without the pcv] but it should not pressurize the crankcase. hope this helps. mike
