Wanted: 64-72 A-body conv. for Pypes Commercial
Hi Everyone
Pypes Exhaust has a commercial concept that features a Convertible Musclecar. We have some options among our employee cars be we are hoping for something different. So we are asking if anyone in the Delaware Valley area has a car we could use. Ideally we want a 1964-72 A-body convertible. It does not need to be a Pontiac but you know us, we like our Pontiacs. Here are some more details: Obviously we are looking for a car in good condition, outside & inside. It does need to run. We are NOT planning to do burnouts with it but it will need to be driven into and out of frame. There will be actors driving the car (so the owner needs to be comfortable with that). The car will need to be available on a fairly short notice, based on weather. We'll need the car for 1-2 days. It will be safely stored inside overnight. Pay is strictly reimbursement of fuel, tolls, meals, hotel, etc... The car must be located in the Delaware Valley area. We can't afford worrying about whether a car is going to show up from some far off land. Anyone with a car that might fit our needs and that may be interested in helping us out (and getting their ride in a commercial), please send pictures of your ride & it's information, plus your contact information to: quintonl@pypesexhaust.com Let us know if you have any questions or need more details. Thanks The Pypes Exhaust Staff |
Doesn't Mike Spizziri have one?

For someone it could be a bunch of Fun.
Already did that deal back in the 80s for a very large Clothing Store commercial. But for someone gets picked, you will get a lot of bragging rights if your Pontiac Convertible is chosen. Mine was picked out of 17 Pontiac prospects. Mine was the only convertible (64 GTO). New to the game, it seemed like each shot took forever but in reality there were maybe 35 different scenes in the commercial and my car was in 6 of them. My favorite was the scene of the cars at a drive-in late at night. My car, a 65 396 "375" Corvette, a 63 Max Wedge, and a Ford Thunderbolt. Good Luck to someone! Tom V. |
When I worked at CRANE CAMS in Daytona Beach in the late 1980's, my 1974 Chevelle [Malibu] was used in there..."How to istall a CAMSHAFT video"
No perks really, just a free video, and when I and others at the plant got to view the video for the first time was great......UNTILL..... the guy in the video Peels out at the end of the video. |

Not yet. They are still gathering all of the different elements.
They have been spending weeks casting the rolls of HotGirl#1, HotGirl#2 & HotGirl#3 and it's not like there is a shortage of applicants. I don't think a car has been decided on yet either, so if anyone still hasn't submitted their car, there may still be time. Steve |
