Just some pics of before and after. Dark saddle paint from kolor correct. Color is spot on. Also bought new knobs/ cables....plastic chrome finish was yellowed on originals. Plastic vent insert was not recolored..just needed a soap wash

No speakers??
:) |
Um....no. Luckily when I bought the car in 86' nobody had butchered the car up with aftermarket speakers. Still had the speakers in the back package tray with the factory black box around them.

They really turned out nice good job and like you said the color was spot on looking at the vent. Was there any primer or sealer prior to the color going on or just a wipe down and if so with what?
|
Washed with soap and water, then some one choice plastic/vinyl prep cleaner. Then a couple of coats of bulldog adhesion promoter before the dark saddle paint. Hopefully it stays put.

Looks great. Inspires me to redo mine

Yes, beautiful! Thanks for mentioning Kolor Correct too. I will be contacting them soon for some color for my Jade interior. :)

Their paint is a little pricey but I was told they use the original factory formulas . I wanted the correct color and got tired of spending money on other paint manufacturers that claimed to be correct and they weren't. I've got probably 8-9 cans of different 1970 saddle and dark saddle and none were even close to original imo. Legendary interiors told me about them.
