Need Alternator for 70 GTO

Looking for an alternator for my 70 Judge. The one that is on it is not correct as it has been replaced over the years, but I would like to go back with the correct one.
Build date of the car is 11A.
Thanks

Do you need a 37 amp (1100704) or 55 amp (1100700)?

Unfortunately I don't have the build sheet, so I don't know what would have came on it but since it does have the power flow ventilation it probably had a55 amp.
It does have the 55amp on it now, but like I said that is not the original.

Does the car have AC or rear window defrost?

No AC, and no rear window defrost.
RA III 4 speed.

Ok, so the 37 amp (1100704) should be what you need. I have a restored 1100700 55 amp that dates perfect for your car but need to check what I have for 704s.

The only close 704s I have are dated Nov 14, 1969 and Dec 29, 1969, both after your build date.

Hmmm, Probably be better to go with the 700 since the build date is right?

If it were my car, I would hold out for a close dated 704, since that is the correct one for your car. They are not rare, just may take a bit to find the date code that works.

Yeah, I think you are right. I will wait for the right one. Let me know if you come up with one.
Thanks
