Endura bumper
I’m rolling the dice on the repro bumper (long story) so if there is just one choice, Is there a best of the worst choice on where to buy it?
Is it exactly the same material used as original? |
Theres a thread on one bought from OPGI https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=856797
|
Thanks. That works for me. I just ordered it.
|
why not order from our sponser ??
|
I looked at their site and didn’t see one.

From the OPGI item description..LOL......wrong!!!
'68-69 GTO In 1968 and 1969 you got a chrome bumper as standard equipment. The option was the body-colored “Endura” bumper, |
It came today and looks fine out of the box. I guess I’ll know after it’s fitted.

I realized just how much the frames flex recently .. my GTO is supported on the lift at the firewall frame corners, and just forward of the rear axle ... all my body mount bolts are loose to wait for fitting of the front clip ... there is about 1/2" between the top of the firewall rubber mounts and the bottom of the body where they would contact.
Initially I panicked when I saw it ... then ran to check the other one, both the same. So that big V8 hanging out in the air definitely tweaks the frame if the body isn't bolted down good. |
Since it’s going to be jet black, is there anything different with grille color?
I was told just black with silver around the inside but does anyone know what silver to use? Is the black satin, flat? |
