Hurst wheel trim ring fitment

3 Attachment(s)
I have a set of thick shanked Hurst wheels mounted on 225/70R14 diamond backs and am trying to mount the trim rings but they wont go down all the way before hitting the tire. Also, the holes for the clips seem to be on the wrong side. Any suggestions? The rings are reproductions and the wheels are real.

Unfortunately that's what you get with repro rings. Their made for repro wheels and still don't fit correctly. The advertising to me is misleading. Doesn't matter thick or thin casting. Sorry I don't have any spares. Check the Legend.

I have the same problem. Years ago I lost the only press fit trim I had. I talked Parts Place into selling me 1 repo trim ring. My originals have the clips and fit perfectly.
the outer rim of the repo has a slight bend inward and stops it from getting to the slots under the center.
The originals are square to the inside rim .

See how the holes are on the wrong side? Also, where the outer rim meets the tire is too deep and doesn't let it seat all the way. Can someone post a pic of an original?

I purchased this set of excellent Survivor Hurst Wheels in 2012.
Everything is factory Original chrome, plus the center cap Hurst stickers.

These are the best shots I can offer you as they are now in storage.
Hopefully you can see the small hole for the clip and the fit of the trim ring over the edge of wheel.

Maybe this thread can shed some light on your issue, plenty of detailed pictures of the thick shank Hurst wheels;
