Looks nice.. but 80,000.00!?..a 350.. not much there in cubic inches... I have heard of them..but don't know jack about them.. is this for real? would love to see the build sheet....(PHS)...is that the correct rear spoiler for this car? dual side mirrors?...well maybe someone really would enjoy it! Agree on the 80K listed price, sorry, even with documentation from Canadian Vehicle Services and a very highly detailed Concours restoration, it's still a factory built '70 LeMans with a 350 2bbl, with stickers and a rear spoiler. Seriously, the seller can what ever he wants to wanna ask, but maybe 35K - 40K, maybe, on a good day.

Compared to a fully documented Knafel Pontiac '70 Magnum Tempest (with documented dealer installed WT 400 4apd), restored to the same level, know which one I'd be stacking up the Benjamin's.

I thought there was another one in the same area colored blue ...

The Boss 07-01-2018 08:13 AM

Those wing windows must not have worked well with the sport mirrors.

marxjunk 07-01-2018 09:03 AM

the cutlass mirrors work fine not sure why pontiac didnt work them over..i have a set on my 70 F85...no issues

every 70 post car W-machine got sport mirrors..and they where optional on all 70 post cars..70s are uniquely shaped..but i think 71 72 post cars got the same style as the GTO sport mirrors

77 Canamman 07-01-2018 09:05 AM

I don't like it. The Magnum was a much better package in every regard, and would command more money than that car.

muscle_collector 07-01-2018 09:21 AM

I agree on the magnum, but have any documented originals ever surfaced?

birdsandgoats 07-01-2018 11:59 AM

The mirrors are wrong . It would have come with the standard mirrors that the wagons had and the Jury did not come with a passenger mirror if you look at the promo picture from the HPP article . And there are about 4 of these cars that I know of that are in the area including the one that I have. And as far as the price of the car is in Canadian dollars which is $60k US still high but a lot less.

GTOnly70 07-01-2018 12:13 PM

Don't care for the rear stripe or "Jury" decal.

trishieldchief 07-01-2018 04:48 PM

Canadian Lemans Jury's are very special, rare and way Cool!

unruhjonny 07-03-2018 12:25 AM

3.90:1 gearing... with a 350/2bbl??

neat car, but I'm guessing thay it was probably listed just to see what kinds of interest or offers it gets...

The car is posted again for the same price.

I found this while researching:

In 1970 Stampede Buick-Pontiac Motors in Alberta & Calgary Canada was trying to create a car that would hopefully bring people into his dealership in search of that unique car. The idea that they could offer a hi-torque but lower-buck car that had the performance of a Judge without being a Judge. That special car was known as the "The Jury" option package. "The Jury" was a special G.T.O. that was unique to the Canadian area. They ordered and sold 25 of these cars. They all where Palladium Silver with a blue interior and came with a 69' Judge rear deck spoiler. "The Jury" also featured a distinctively different graphic package from it`s sibling "The Judge". It had a flaming fireball with "The JURY" decal laid over a black and white bumblebee stripe, which around the rear quarter panel as well as down the drivers side of the hood. Twelve were of these special cars had M-21 4 speeds and bench seats. The remaining thirteen were turbo-hydromatics and bucket seats. Additionally, the cars came equipped with 350 CID engines, Safe-T-Track-differentials, 12 bolt performance rear end, Rally II wheels, red line tires, rosewood steering wheel, AM/FM radio, power steering and power disc-front breaks.

Is it me or the alternator is not installed correctly? I can see an aftermarket sticker on it...

I wonder about the originality of that car. At 80K (+-60K US), I would expect a 100% original car, with all its matching parts. We see matching numbers GTO sell for a lot less!

These are rare cars indeed, but asking price is too high IMO.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but A-Bodies built at Oshawa for sale in Canada, had Chevy 350’s. Cars built for the US market had Pontiac engines.

I dont know about the Jury though. I have a dealer ad somewhere. Maybe it says something about the engine options..

'ol Pinion head 08-23-2018 02:53 PM

Pontiac V8's began to be used in Oshawa builds for '70 models.

The alt bracket setup used in the pic is the '69-74 manual steering style (minus the '71-74 rear brace)

Agree on the valuation... waaay over priced, def gives a mark to work down from.

Since numerous Canadian members are reading this post... Have been trying to confirm that no Pontiac A-body's were built out of the Oshawa plant for the '72 model year.. Realize '70 & 71 Pontiac A-bodys were built out of Oshawa (no '71 endura nosed A-body's). Thanks!

Here is the sheet from my jury to show what they were ordered from the factory with . The only changes were adding the rear spoiler and the stripes and decals and changing the rear end gears in the 10 bolt rear end.
