Not sure if you saw this. Don't know anything about it, but saw your post & remembered the add. Worth a shot I suppose. Good luck. |
400 piston, so must be .060

Good eye John!

I've got a mostly complete '65 389 down in the garage. It was running in a friend's '65 GTO before I got it. Are you looking for any certain codes? I don't think it's a "GTO" motor, haven't looked at it in a long time.

Odd!

Ok....
We’re going roller cam and wanted enough lift to attain a nice exhaust note... but I can accomplish that with duration and lobe separation. Thanks again!

Yes it was the one for 1500.. That's awesome you were able to get it Ron! Good luck with the rest of the build, and keep us posted on the progress!

So...
Where are you located?

I am in central California, I know a really good and reasonable shipper I can put you in contact with. He drives by my house frequently and travels all over. I can tell you his rates are ridiculously reasonable

Thanks....
The one we got is decent...recently rebuilt just had the wrong pistons. Who sells a good 389 piston with @ 9.5 : 1 compression with stock heads?
|
Building my 389 right now. Icon makes one that may be a possibility. Butler and Kauffman handle those. Otherwise, you'll probably end up going Ross custom forged. That's the route i'll need to go.
