Interested.will they fit 76 and are these highback?
|
Yes, they are high back.
I did some research on the years. Corbeau racing seats sells mounting brackets for the various years. They list brackets in the following groups of years: all '70-74 all '75-79 all '80-81 These seats that I'm selling "should" fit any 2nd Gen as long as you have the correct sliders to match the floor. Hope that helps, Eric |
The sliders that are on your seats, will they fit 76?
|
Sliders on seats would fit '76.
I've been researching shipping costs and that's probably going to be a show stopper. UPS wants over $600 for the 2 oversize boxes. Fedex wants over $700 USPS won't take anything that big. Local pickup is probably the only reasonable option at his point, unless somebody can suggest a different plan.. Eric |
just an fyi on shipping, ive shipped lots of these seats & the best way to do it to stay out of the oversize category is to break them down & remove the backs from the bottoms, then ship two backs in a box & 2 bottoms in a box, or depending on boxes you have 1 piece in 1 box. should be able to ship 2 backs via UPS or FEDEX for around $60-$80 & $40-$60 for 2 bottoms. walmart or home depot sells large boxes for a few bucks each. destination will vary the price some but waaaayyy less than whats posted above trying to ship them complete.
the backs come off the bottoms with just removing the 2 round lock clips that will pop off with a flat screw driver & lightly prying the arms off the pivot studs. & go back on reusing the clips. hope that helps the sale or anyone in the future needing to ship these seats. |
Good idea. I'll price that out.
Thanks, Eric |
OK, good news.
78w72's idea was a good one. The seats were pretty easy to take apart. I found a box that will hold the backs and another box that will hold the bottoms (from UHaul...they have lots of useful boxes). Looks like I can ship UPS to anywhere in the 48 states for approx. $150 So....$450 delivered for the pair of seats, disassembled. Eric |
cool. glad that worked out.
