great new glue in a tube what was it?
 

Within the past month I think it was someone posted a thread about their experience with some great glue in a tube like Gorilla Glue; but it may not have been Gorilla Glue I don't remember the brand. I meant to make a note of it but didn't and now I can't find that post. They mentioned using it on a headliner I think? I ask because I had a new headliner installed in my '63 Catalina and it has come loose along the rear edge above the back glass and I'd like to try and re-glue it and want it to stay there if I do.

For fix ups like that I have always used 3M spray adhesive/ contact cement.

I saturate a Q tip with it rub it on both sides, wait 2 minutes and stick it together.

I don’t know about how long this new glue will hold up to temperature changes, but I have never had the 3M stuff fail me.

Thanks both but the thread I'm talking about was within the past month or not much longer than that. It wasn't 3m stuff although I too am big on 3m products. This was something I'd not used before.

Since you're just trying to fix it. Use DAP Weldwood glue. It's in a brown glass bottle with a brush attached to the cap. I've used it on many interior vinyl and convertible top applications before with very good results. I got it at ACE Hardware.

Thanks for the responses. The post I'm thinking of hasn't been mentioned yet but I've got some good leads now on good glues for my headliner.
