Is cell foam necessary in 8 gallon cell with return style regulator?

Hey everybody,

The cell Foam in my 8 gallon drag tank from Summit deteriorated and filled the fuel filter when running E 85.

Do I need foam to control return fuel aeration, fuel slosh or Reducing accident fire risk?

Would these be a good replacement for the foam?

Thanks, Craig

I took mine out and left it out when it started to deteriorate, never replaced it.

Foam is worthless vs a simple baffle system inside the tank.

Tanks, inc tank is even better when installed in the stock location.

If you have some type of extension on the return where it's returning fuel below the liquid level, it probably won't aerate.

you will be fine without the foam

Thanks guys - made an extension tube with 5/8 copper tubing to turn at a 90 to direct fuel to rear of sump.

Seems to work good!
