You are correct. It was up for 19 days and it is now gone.

71GP76TA 06-28-2021 11:29 AM

It was for sale about 7-8 years ago for 75k.

A Rare 70 06-28-2021 06:22 PM

Does anyone know if the car sold or how to get a hold of the owner?

padgett 06-28-2021 07:51 PM

Stripes and stickers and color and bumper do not look right but would need to do some research. Trim tag or PHS would know.

The ad did say the reversed paint scheme was done by the original owner.

padgett 06-28-2021 09:21 PM

"was done by the original owner" badly and wrong. And the bumper ?

Tim john 06-28-2021 09:38 PM

Front bumper is not a 400 C.I.D. bumper, no arrow head emblem (missing).

If anyone knows eastern WA, that is an odd location to find a 69 TA.

Last year I missed out on a '70 Judge with original paint and drivetrain that was down the road in Ephrata WA.

Just as an aside the tri-cities area of Washington has A Lot of well paid engineers who liked fast cars particularly around Hanford (used to visit occasionally) so not that surprising. Ever hear of "Fat Man" ?

My mom and dad live in Pasco..

A lot of hot rods in this area. I know of a warehouse where there are over a 100 Barrett Jackson bought cars with the lowest priced one being a 1/4 million or so.

unruhjonny 07-09-2021 10:47 AM

I love the tri-cities area;
I always stop there at least once on a trip to or from my cousin's in Portland.
If I was ever able to move state-side, I'd probably want to move there.

I saw this car in Dayton, this past August, at the TA Nats. I spoke to the owner, who filled me in on its history. Seems the original owner was an officer in the Air Force so he had the cars paint scheme reversed. The AF officer was stationed oversees and felt he wanted to make a statement and have it pained in "Air Force" blue.. It's all pretty much intact and was placed in the "Modified" category at the TA Nats, I don't know how the car placed but it's history is pretty amazing. Makes you ask yourself, restore to original or keep in AF blue.. BTW, "Aim High" as I as I was an AF Vet. myself !

If the dealer or factory painted it that way I’d keep it that way .
So many T/A s that looks the same why not be a little differnt. It’s the cars history and it’s story which I feel should be kept intact. It’s a big part of the reason I haven’t restored mine. I’d only restore it to as raced by the dealer . And I enjoy the car too much to do a full resto and put it in a plastic bubble .

I built my turbo car to race and started getting ready to restore but after 17 years In Storage I ended up putting my pro stock RAV engine in it and have been enjoying it. just couldn’t do it . (Yet)
