GTOnly70 01-31-2023 12:34 AM

Wow, what a mess. Basically buying the vin tag and engine.

orangegtojudge 01-31-2023 12:40 AM

This is a super rare RAIV Judge. Maybe 1 of 58 with a bench seat and shift on the column. I am 57 years old and have now seen only 3 of these cars. This White car, a red car and black car. Wow! Thanks for posting this auction! This made my day.

definitely rough but it runs.

turbo69bird 01-31-2023 12:50 AM

Cool car I lived in Melbourne once and thought I’d scoured every inch of that place for ram air cars. Guess I missed . That car is from a dealership that had a RAIV firebird drag car .

orangegtojudge 01-31-2023 12:53 AM

Correction…. I have seen 4 of these cars. Forgot about the Liberty Blue 69 Judge RAIV bench seat car that sold new in Milan, GA.

OCMDGTO 01-31-2023 08:41 AM

Old Rusty sounded surprisingly good!

Yea, also the Rear Assy, TH400, Tach, 1/4 and door glass, and pull Knob. Every bit else is replacement theology.

You can add a couple more to the list I’ve seen a carousel red automatic on the column RAIV bench seat in Tucson, Arizona on Speedway Boulevard and owned a 69 Vedoro green automatic on the column RAIV bench seat , along with the liberty blue/ parchment Georgia judge

I lived in Melbourne about my entire life (moved there when I was 2). Recently left the area in 2020 after retiring. I have never seen or heard of this car and I have been doing Pontiacs for over 30 years. I suspect it was someone who moved into the area (appears to be an apartment complex with garages) in the last few years. I was able to buy a 70 OO RAIV Judge 4 speed car in that area. Also picked up several sets of RAIV heads and missed a 455SD fitted block still strapped to the crate! Melbourne was not a hot bed of automobile culture. It was mostly a retirement town for a long time. However when the Space Program came to town things started happening. Also Patrick Air Force Base in its heyday had a lot of young enlisted men who were into cars (and surfing). That area was not kind to sheetmetal. Living beachside and keeping a car outside pretty much guaranteed it was rusted out in a couple of years.

Carbonator doesnt have plant-pick code.
So either a decoy or a 1979 SR
Can't say for sure its even a Rochester , might be a Carter Qjet

No PwrStr , No PwrBrks
Barebone stripper type

Its definitely been a Coastal Florida car for long enough.
Will need everything , as in Everything.
As Hobi would say - a 4 Rivet Restoration

Has already made reserve @ 21k with 5 days left

Maybe Hobi should resurrect the Rizzo report?

bdk1976 02-01-2023 10:25 PM

Anyone else absolutely hate reading the ridiculously bloated and over the top descriptions for these cars on BaT?

I think Rizzo went to work for BaT as a shill bidder .
Raking in the dough , instead of shoveling out the sh'it .

And Hobi seems to have disappeared , along with the MetalFinisher.
idunno
Probably in business together now .
:D

This one is actually on Barn Finds .
I didn't even know they had an auction site.

But I agree , they get a little bloaty .
This one in particular seems way too sympathetic.
A Florida hood in that condition - should probably try to be saved ?

You'd be lucky if even the seats can be re-used for cores.
This car is ready to start popping holes in all kind of crazy places from the inside out.
When you see a Florida car in this shape , only expect the very worst.

I like the car and hope someone can save it.
But its going to be a cowl swap or a 4RivetResto , and a marked car.
