Thought I would share what I did with the tranny line fittings.
More than 1 way to do this for sure.
Hope the pics help

Ready for install ?

I had to test fit mine and grind on the renforcing ribs on the tranny case.

What dipstick are you using?

Yep. mine too. also cut the ears off each side so it doesn't hit the headers during install.

Bought it from Summit several years ago. Mite be a Lokar ?
I would have to dig through my old receipts.
Fits good, no leaks, fluid level a little hard to read

Installed it last nite. Those 3/8 bolts are a challenge !

Does it bolt into the case?

Dave Polichena 08-28-2020 12:51 PM

Thats a Lokar piece. The quick release portion bolts to the case, comes with a plug too. Nice feature when doing and R&R.

Yes. need to drop the pan for install
NHRA approved

Used similar fittings on mine as well as the Lokar dipstick. Makes R&R easier. Also drilled holes through the floor to get at upper bolts. Not sure on A-bodies but pretty much a necessity on 1st gen F. Believe removing the ears and grinding case ribs are standard mods for a CSR on a 400.

Wow, I see a solenoid there on the side of that case....going to the dark side I see? :bounce:

I ran a Lokar tube a while back and it was painfully slow to fill. Did they change that?

Skip Fix 09-02-2020 10:05 AM

The drilling holes in the floor for the top bolts sure sounds like a good idea. Those from underneath with a long extension and wiggler are hard and from the top even using one of those ratcheting boxed end take forever,

Car had the t-brake when I bought it 10 years ago.
1st time I tried to use it I had a 1000 + RT. Took my foot off the brake pedal and kept holding the button staring at a green light. STOP LAUGHING !
I'm still damn good at footbraking though.
