stock '74 TA exhaust tips...

It's finally muff install day for me and the muff shop guy is being a pain and won't work from the sample picture I have.
Does anyone have a way of measuring where the exhaust tips "should" be located to appear stock-ish? Also, is the SD exhaust tip location different that the regular 455 car? I have the Pypes 2.5" transverse setup going in and pypes tips btw. Thanks so much. Random internets sample attached... |
I don't understand how a guy you're paying won't install the tips where you want them. If you want them tack welded to the roof then that's where they should go. That's the way I see it anyway..

exactly - maybe he was burned by too many perfectionist car hobby kooks in the past or something...he still hasn't called and I live out of town but expects me to be there in person when the tips go in...sigh

They got the Pypes installed and want me there in person before they install the tips on Saturday. Call me crazy 😜 but she drives way better with this un-rotten system and doesn't bottom out anymore either...amazing Sounds pretty good too... |

I purchased this '74 Formula 455 from Dan Jensen a couple of years ago. He replaced the original exhaust system with a complete Pypes system including extensions. I think you can expect yours to install similarly.

Perfect - I'll take these photos with me...
