Gotta be a low production car being a more door with a 4-spd. Very sun burnt Cali car but still cool. Worth??? This falls into the want it, not so much high value??

I'm surprised it still has a nose, considering the sun damage on the rest of the car.

I am sure that ages ago I came across numbers - they were incredibly low.

Wow.

I am doubtful that this will be saved.
To say it's rough seems a gross understatement.

Look like a Fiberglass reproduction nose to me. It was a decently optioned car, I see A/C, Tilt wheel, and Honeycomb wheels. To go along with the 4oo 4bbl and 4-speed.

I wish it were closer I would be interested in looking at it.

73 A-body 4 speed wagon estimated to be 25-50 made.

When I sent in for my Wagons PHS, I was given an estimate of 5-20 total 4-speed wagons, they were available with a 350 2bbl and a Saginaw 4-speed, or a 400 4bbl with a Muncie M-20 like mine. I have never seen or heard of another 4-speed 73 Lemans Safari, I would like to think I do not have the only survivor. I don't think anyone knows for sure how many were made. All bench seat cars also. My car was actually an export car to Hamburg Germany. It was found in a salvage yard in Texas, with an Arizona Salvage Title. I would love to know more of its history. Owned by a USAF service member judging by the parking decals that were on the front bumper when I got it.

I owned a two door one that I bought in 1975 with only 19,000 miles on it. I believe it was a little over 200 G/A cars made with 4 speeds. I had a guy that worked for me in the mid 70s that also owned a two door one before he came to work for me. Mine came with a 400, and had 3.23 gears in it, was hard on clutches because it being over 2 tons. Whan the clutch was in need of replacement I removed the 4 speed, and converted it to a TH400. I liked that combo much better in that heavy car.

I repainted the car from Ascot silver to black, similar to the G/A that one of the car magazines modified with a one off spoiler that was hand made. I always loved that spoiler that they put on that car, but never got around to fabbing one for my own car. I held onto it for a few years and sold it to a friend of mine.

Herb Adams and his engineer buddies built a 73 G/A Nascar cup car, the magazine car was patterened after their race car. Here is a link to the back story and some images of that car with the spoiler that they made for it:

I would guess that less than 10% of the total cars were 4 doors.

1973 4 door 4 speed Grand Ams, I'm guessing 50 to 75.

2424 Pontiac four speed A-bodies with either a 350 2bbl/Saginaw or a 400 4bbl/Muncie

1113 went into 73 GTOs

That leaves 1311 for other models

Most of the 1311 likely went into:
Grand Am 2dr (Est 600 to 900)
non-GTO F37 LeMans Sport Coupes

Some of the 1311 likely went into:
Grand Am 4dr (Est 50-75)
D37 big window LeMans 2dr
LeMans Safari Wagon (Est 25)

Very few likely went into:
D29 LeMans 4 dr
Luxury LeMans 2dr
Luxury LeMans 4 dr

But Never Say Never!

I saw this 73 350 Lemans in a junkyard today. It is a floor shift stick car but the trans, bellhousing and flywheel are gone. Pedals, linkage and shifter hump are still there. I guess it could have been a 3 speed or a 4 speed? It's at L & L in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
