gonna need some parts i want to put a GP nose on it as well

Thought the interior was green until I saw the pic with the door open. Looks like you could give it a scrub and go!
I have some GP grille shells and also an NOS tail panel (not the trim, the sheet metal) if you want to make it a 4dr GP. |
sounds like a plan, i still have to move 4 cars with 16 flat tires to get to it first

Leaving cars as-is is a big trend these days. That car is a perfect candidate. Not rusty, very complete. Detail it inside and out, new rubber, address any mechanical issues and drive it. I would not take that car all apart just to make it “nicer”. It’s a 4D HT, which really helps vs. a 4D Sedan, but it’s not a 2D or a conv. So chose your path wisely.
Pay someone to detail it, buff it out and all that. Have a trusted friend that knows engines and chassis determine what needs attention. New tires, belts, hoses (not the flex type), brakes etc. Took me over 20 years to do full frame off on my 65. You can have that car running and driving in a month or less and enjoy it. You’ll get a lot of lookers at shows if it u restored vs. becoming a trailer queen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
i do plan to leave it well most of it the nose is pretty shot as far a corrosion i'll keep updating

progress report amazing no rust underneath, all suspension and body bushings are soft, definitely leaking oil for a while from the motor, it was missing 1 converter bolt and the weight on the snout of the converter was broken off it must of vibrated real bad but i bet this thing never went past 50mph 98k on the clock
|
I've never seen red stripe tires on a boat this large.
|
i had those in the garage the front wheels were rusted flat it does look cool im thinking of goldlines for it H-78's
its a shame someone painted it at some time in its life being it never went far |
