More on pushrod length

After searching and reading threads n posts on pushrod geometry I still don't have a definitive answer what to go with.
I did the Straub method. Then rolled the engine over with the Straub method pushrod, and then with a stock. The 'Straub' pushrod is about 3/8" longer with a very narrow pattern close to the exhaust side. Stock is wider, but centered. https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...1&d=1664492909https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...1&d=1664492982https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...1&d=1664493006 |
You should use the length that gives the best pattern (stock length) even though it is a different length than using the Straub method. I always start with the Straub method and adjust as necessary to get the best pattern.
