Fan shroud repair, what type of plastic

My 70 fan shroud has a large crack. Does anyone know the type of plastic? Trying to make the best repair.

Found a good replacement.

Glad you found one!

I'm still curious about the material as I find the GM manufacturing technology to be amazing. Things like the SMC headers, endura noses, nodular cast irons, etc. are historically as significant to me as the cars themselves.

As I recall (suspect), the shroud is reinforced with long strands of a fiber. The shape doesn't make sense to me for injection molding, but I was around some big machines for molding office machine covers so it's possible.

I'm guessing it was formed from a flat sheet, sprayed or layed up on a mold, or something similar.

I'd love to hear how these were made and whether it was GM or sourced from suppliers.

Not familiar with this shroud mentioned, but nearly every other GM was polypropylene and has cast P.P. on it. Only special glues will work, sometimes plastic welding, but not pretty.
